The principle of filtration of GRACETECH Compact Band Coolant Filter is by gravity and hydro static head, this combination offers the required pressure for coolant to pass through the filter media. The continuous honey comb chain is positioned tangentially to the disc wheels at the bottom with help of shafts and sprockets. The real shaft is mounted with the help of springs, which holds the honey comb chain perfectly tangential to the discs with the help of spring tension. The front shaft is connected to a speed reducer to drive the honey comb chain belt. The filter media is inserted between discs and the honey comb belt. this forms the leak proof trough where filtration takes place. The contaminated fluid enter GRACETECH compact band filter from the inlet provided at the side. The contaminated fluid enters the trough with steady low velocity to avoid turbulence. The coolant further passes through the filter media by gravity. When the filter media gets clogged by contaminates the coolant level rises and actuates the float switch, which in turn moves the honey comb chain belt and pulls fresh filter paper from the roll automatically. When the level of the coolant goes down the float switch stops the geared motor. GRACETECH compact band filters are suitable for all types of grinding machines, honing machines, machining centers and rolling mills etc. Compact band filters are available from 100 LPM to 1000 LPM capacities.
